Sat Sept 25 & Sun Sept 26 Garlic Lovers Unite for Celebration of Food, Farming, and Fun A portion of the proceeds will benefit a local environmental charity WHAT: Long Island’s Seventh Annual Garlic Festival, an all-day celebration of the wonders of “Garliciana,” with festival vendors featuring a wide variety of garlic inspired foods, crafts, music, theater, and just plain garlic. Admission just $3 per person, children under 6 free. WHEN & WHERE: 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday Sept 25 & Sunday Sept 26, 2010 at the Garden of Eve organic farmstand, 4558 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, located at the intersection of Northville Turnpike and Sound Avenue. Cook-Off Details: Bring a hot or cold dish that serves approximately 25 people by 12 pm on Saturday OR Sunday, to enter in one of the following competitive classes: "Sweet, Sweet Garlic”; “Savory Garlic” and "Miss Garlic Originality".
