CSA members, family, friends, and anyone else interested in seeing the farm are invited to take a walk and hayride tour through our fields. Please bring a bag lunch and drinking water, closed toe shoes that can get dirty, and a sunhat or sunscreen. Transportation to the farm is by LIRR, Hampton Jitney bus or private transportation (you can contact your CSA group for info on possible carpools or post to your location on this forum). See www.gardenofevefarm.com/Volunteer.htm for links to public tranportation schedules. Gleaning & Sukkot Celebration September 30, 2007 from 10 am-2:30 pm. We are planning a day of fun activities around the Jewish harvest holiday of Sukkot. The schedule is as follows: 10 am: Arrive at the farm 10:15 am-12 pm: Gleaning the fields 12 pm-1 pm: Lunch at the Garlic Festival (see below) 1 pm-2:30 pm: Building and decorating a sukkah with farm vegetables we will pick These activities are open to any CSA members. Taught by Certified Yoga Instructor Peter Ames. $15, rain cancels Nutrition and Cooking Workshops Dates and Times TBA Learn to bring wholesome, fresh organic foods and eating habits into your life through this comprehensive series of small group workshops taught by Angelina Bertani, Holistic Health Counselor. $15 includes some fresh produce items to take home. Topics to include: Sustainability from Farm to Kitchen; Glorious Greens; Sugar Blues; Women’s Health Issues; Eating for Energy.
